Pretty Little Thank You Card

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to share this pretty little card with you today. I used an old, old sketch from Mojo Monday as my guideline for this card. Sketches and me are getting along well these days *wink*

I really do love to use sketches from time to time. It gives my brain a rest.

Here's the sketch I used:

And here's my rendition...

I've been into using Lost Lagoon lately. It's a beautiful bluish green color. I used the Morning Meadow stamp set from Stampin' Up! I colored the image with my Stampin' Write markers. I should say, I colored the stamp with the markers and then stamped it onto my Whisper White piece. I love the subtle watercolor look it gives. Lastly, I colored some rhinestones with a Copic marker to match my card.

I hope you find some inspiration in today's creation. Please leave a comment below and tell me if you like to use card sketches.

Card Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Friends!

I've been into doing challenges lately. It's what has been keeping my brain alive! LOL This challenge, actually, was for 2 places! 1. for Creating The Crafty Life and 2. My Stampin' Up! Team's Facebook Group, Luvly Stampers.

The sketch is from CCL (Creating The Crafty Life). I used it for both groups.

I don't know about you, but I love to follow a sketch sometimes. It takes all the guess work out of designing a card. Some days that's what I need. A plan to follow so I can create something beautiful without putting too much pressure on my stressed out brain.

Here's the sketch:

I love this sketch! It's simple and clean, with lots of layers.

Here's the card I created. I used Hello Honey for my card base. I used the Moonlight DSP stack for the patterned panels. A strip of Basic Grey card stock across the center. The stamp set I used is Blooming With Hope. I just love that stamp set! Sadly, it's retiring. I colored the flowers using my Stampin' Write Markers in Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Wild Wasabi.

You may have noticed that I missed one of the layers...oops! My stamping is a little crooked and my panels aren't straight. I'm OK with that. I'm human. I make mistakes. After all, if I wanted a "perfect" card, I'd buy a Hallmark. I much prefer a handmade, from the heart, card! Imperfections and all.

Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me today. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Want To Learn the Bokeh Technique?

Hi Everyone!

I'm so excited today! I learned how to do the Bokeh technique! I have my upline, Wendy Cranford, to thank. She posted a video teaching how to do it. I decided I would follow suit and do my own video showing how to create this technique! I'm uploading the video to YouTube as I type this. Please go check it out. The link to my YouTube channel is on the left side of this blog under "Social Medias".

Here are the 4 cards that I created using this technique. Along with the On Film Framelit Dies from Stampin' Up! to complete the cards. I hope you like my creations!

Happy Stampin'!

Lotus Blossom Cards

Hello Crafty Friends!

I'd like to share a couple of cards I made using the Lotus Blossom stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This first card uses Crisp Cantaloupe ink and card stock. It's a pretty simple, standard A2 size card. I just love this stamp set. It makes making elegant cards a breeze!

Crisp Cantaloupe

The next card, uses Lost Lagoon ink and card stock, along with Soft Sky card stock as a mat.

I hope you have enjoyed these 2 cards. They're simple, yet elegant. Perfect for any occasion or just because!
